I’m of that age. The one where I’m starting to focus a lot more on skincare and how to get the best results. My skin is a bit sensitive, and I am on the drier side. When my skin is super hydrated I look glowier and my skin is smoother. I think this results in looking more awake and younger, so you know I’m on the lookout for ways to achieve this! If I can multi-task that with anti-aging, even better.
When I first saw the new Kiehl’s 1CC* CollaShot Plump Serum online, I fully admit that I didn’t believe it (because it sounded so good). And knew I would have to try it. However…. Kiehl’s actually did some clinical research. They have data to back up their claims.
• in 8 weeks, users saw 3x improvement in skin plumpness
• GLP-1 users specifically saw 22% improvement in sagging cheeks (this was based on before/after photos)
• After 12 weeks, users agreed: 94% saw improved radiance, 93% said their skin looks plumper, 90% said face contours are more defined
I don’t know about you, but those findings are really encouraging. And a lot more than can usually be achieved with a topical product.
How did they do it? This product has a liposome technology to help it penetrate deeply into the skin, so it can really get the ingredients where they need to go to see results. There are a lot of ingredients that fight signs of aging. They’re all gentle and can be tolerated by any skin type. Just looking at the first 5 in the ingredient list (after water):
• Glycerin: moisturizing humectant
• Rhamnose: natural sugar that signals the skin to increase production of both collagen and elastin
• C15-19 Alkane: moisturizing emollient that also works as a solvent to dissolve the other ingredients
• Niacinamide: Vitamin B3, this is a very popular active skincare ingredient because it really does so many different things! It helps helps regulate oil production, calms irritated skin, evens skin tone and helps with barrier function
• Hydroxypropyl Tetrahydropyrantriol: The name is a chemical mouthful, but this is L’Oreals proprietary Pro-Xylane that is a true anti-aging powerhouse ingredient. It increases the skin’s production of glycosaminoglycans (things like hyaluronic acid) to promote long term hydration. It also improves connections between the epidermis and dermis to improve overall skin strength and helps support collagen.
That’s just the first 5 ingredients. Later on in the list you’ll find ingredients like peptides (which signal to increase collagen production), Tocopherol (Vitamin E, it is a great hydrator and antioxidant), and Cyanocobalamin (Vitamin B12, improves barrier function and decreases irritation, which helps improve skin radiance).

Kiehl’s just released 1CC* CollaShot Plump Serum, so I’ve only had it for a few days. They sent it to me to feature on the blog, but I fully confess that I have already purchased another bottle from them. I want to keep using it for a while to see how my results are, I’ll post some updates on Instagram and LTK.
My First Impression
This is a gel serum, what you see in the picture is about one and half pumps (so more than you need to apply), and it is not sticky and also not super thick. It ran down my finger for this picture pretty quickly. It spreads really easily on my skin, and sinks in immediately. It adds some hydration, but I wanted to use a moisturizer over the top (I paired it with this favorite) because I like to feel a little slip on my face when I’m applying makeup. And I couldn’t feel the 1CC* CollaShot Plump Serum at all! It really feels like you haven’t put it on your skin, so won’t interfere with makeup.
Application Tips
Here are some tips (from Kiehl’s and myself) on how to get the best results from this serum:
• Those clinical results came from using the product twice a day. So, you’ll also want to use it twice a day. You only need 2 drops for your entire face. So, that bottle will last a while.
• Yes, it is pink. The Vitamin B-12 is where the pink come from. It won’t make your face pink.
• This is the product you want to use first in your morning skincare routine. It goes on right after you wash your face. At night, apply your retinoid first and then the Collashot.
• I would combine it up with other helpful skincare products such as this gentle vitamin C serum in the morning and this gentle retinoid at night. And if you’re fighting aging, you’ll definitely want to be using a sunscreen like this one, which works great under makeup. This is my favorite gentle moisturizing cream to pair with everything.
What do you think? Will you be trying Kiehl’s 1CC* CollaShot Plump Serum?

Sponsored Post: Kiehl’s asked me to write about Collashot, and they sent me a bottle. I accept <10% of sponsored post offers, because I want to write about products that I love and am excited about (Kiehl’s has long been one of my favorite brands), but I also only accept posts where I have freedom to write what I want. Which Kiehl’s gave me, no micromanaging. So, I’ve shared info on the product, and discussed some of the ingredients. I can’t share my results yet as I haven’t used it long enough, but I really did buy myself a 2nd bottle so I won’t run out, and I’ll be sharing results later on social media!
